Traditionally seeds, roots and leaves of the plant have been used against scabies, eczema and various skin conditions. Leaves are used for prickly heat as well as scurf, and roots are being boiled along with milk and used as an aphrodisiac. A decoction of roots is used as an antidote for snake bites.
