Abutilon Indicum Monkey Bush

Indicum is used as a aphrodisiac, demulcent, diuretic, laxative, pulmonary and sedative (leaves). The bark is astringent and diuretic; laxative, expectorant and demulcent (seeds); laxative and tonic, anti-inflammatory and anthelmintic (plant); analgesic (fixed oil); diuretic and for leprosy (roots).

The plant has active properties like diuretic, anti-hemorrhagic, laxative, and demulcent. The topical Indian mallow applications prevent bleeding due to wounds, piles, healing ulcers, and infections. The seeds of the thuthi plant give vigor and strength.
